Yamaha FG700S. Best bang for the buck but go with what feels best to you. Acoustics come in a variety of shapes/sizes.

Yamaha classical guitar with nylon strings.

Yamaha Dreadnought.Spend a few extra dollars getting the action set really light. This will make all the difference in the world.

Great entry level guitar but I will say brand matters less than fit. Buy a guitar that fits both your body and your hand. That may or may not be a dreadnought (which is the body shape of the FG series). Also pay close attention to the action - the height of the strings off the body. Too high and the guitar will fight you.
I think having a solid wood top really doesn't matter to a true beginner, so don't get caught up in that.

Like golf clubs. Don't go crazy. You're gonna suck for a while.
It's ALL about comfort to start. Some smaller body guitars are great. Like OMs and some parlor guitars.
Like golf clubs, get as many in your hand as possible. The one that feels great and is in budget? That's the one.
On the fit of the neck. Look up a "bar chord". You aren't ready for one yet, but just find the guitar that you can "bar" all the strings on with the most ease. Eventually you will try the F-chord and you may have the wrong neck in your hand. By then it is too late.
Like golf. You will find few things in life you will suck at, but still get joy from.

get a used little martin or used taylor big baby. If you quit playing you can probably sell for what you paid

Echoplexing the chorus. If your budget is conducive, a Taylor GS Mini is simply an incredible guitar for what it is, and an even bigger value on the used market, that will hold that used resale value remarkably well.
Otherwise, Yamaha tends to pack considerable bang-for-the-buck in all their price points, particularly in their student/beginner models.
