Anyone else still a fan of this album?

Show Me How to Live is incredible. However, I'm still put off by the dud that is the aptly named "Like a Stone".

Your hate for this song is palpable and obviously from deep source of passion - I must respect this hate, although I don't agree with it.

It's based off of when they announced the existence of Audioslave:

"Hey Everyone - get ready for a new supergroup! It'll be half Soundgarden and half RATM!!!!"

Me: OMG, that sounds awesome!

Them: Here's the first single. Try not to fall asleep.

Yea they came at you with a banger. I was 12 years old when that came out. It jammed so hard.

Cochise

Even when I don't listen to the whole album, I often listen to Cochise as a "amp up" song before a workout.

It was honestly a disappointment for me because it lacked some of the energy of the Citizen demos

I heard these on the radio well before the first album came and thought they were great. The first album is pretty good, but I would agree that the Civilian demos are better.

Loved the first album. Listened to it pretty much every day for a year straight. One awesome song after the next.

The second album is damn good two.

They lost the plot on the third one. Can't stand it. Sounds like they just mailed it in. You can tell the chemistry within the band was showing major cracks and at that point they were pretty much over and done for.

The video for Cochise is amazing. One of the last really great videos I can remember before MTV/MTV2 completely shite the bed.

Cornell is an underrated talent. Great lyricist and singer.

I disagree as I can not kiss his arse much more than I already do.

His songbook album is incredible. If he comes near Houston that is an absolute MUST attend show for me. Amazes me how that scream I heard on Birth Ritual continues into just an incredible rasp. It perfectly compliments an acoustic set now as he ages and doesn't have to scream over an arena sound system. He is a constant YouTube stop for me.

His cover of Thank You by Led Zepplin is incredible.

All of this coming from a guy who has worshipped at the alter of Pearl Jam for. My entire adult life.
