Been having trouble getting the most out of my Aria 948’s, which can dip down to 2 ohms at times. Got this Peachtree GaN400 in today that should make things more interesting. Curious to see what these Gallium Nitride transistors are all about. Anyone hear one of these guys?

Didn’t hear enough to give a proper assessment because I just can’t for the life of me get these Focals to sound good in my room. They must be too damn big. Something is veiled, something is missing. My Dali’s sing in here compared to them. When hooked up to the Dali’s I did hear plenty of detail and the amp is fast & dead quiet. Not enough improvement over what I already have so it’s going back. And I’m done with the Focals, they’re getting sold. Failed experiment…

I’ve been eyeing the Focals for a while now and came very close to scooping up a demo pair of Kanta 3s but that impedance dip concerns me. They sound great in a show room but I’m always worried that I won’t be able to replicate that in my home. Sucks they aren’t working out for you.

Orphaned Land plays and essentially originated "oriental metal" i.e. metal strongly infused with Middle Eastern musical influences. Their 2004 record "Mabool - The Story of the Three Sons of Seven" is a classic and I've loved it since picking up the CD almost 20 years ago.
