Brother Dege “Folk Songs of the American Longhair”, 2010
Great sort of folky/spooky album, which includes a tune that was on the Django Unchained soundtrack. Basically just a cat & his dobro…

Nice.
That a '59 Les Paul in the framed photo behind the album?
There's a guy on youtube that did an in-depth look at Nick Drake's guitar and playing style. Worth a watch if you play.

Hell yes. Thanks. I remember looking up tabs when I first got into his music and finding he used all kinds of bizarre tunings. I’m definitely gonna check it out.

The first 2 records I ever bought were in 1976 at age 12 - so largely based on the covers, of course.
Then in 1980 I picked up the special half speed master edition - just the 2nd of eventually 4 different versions I bought over the years.

It really is one of the greatest albums oat. That half speed has been on my wantlist, but I’ll tell you, it would be tough to beat that Japanese pressing and the other version I own done by KG pressed at RTI LINK
I need to do critical listen to see which is better.
What other versions do you have? Is the Mastersound the best?
Also, does that Kiss still have the original stickers?lol

The other 2 are CD versions, the original and then the Scholz remaster from 2006.
I don't have any other vinyl to compare the Mastersound to. The original pressing is beat up too much to even be worthwhile. I have heard "of" that Japanese pressing but never heard it.
