It’s always something stupid like that isn’t it.

Will be breaking in this new phono preamp all weekend. Excited to see what it can do, it’s gotten great reviews and seems to be a perfect match for my deck and cartridge. Plenty flexibility with the gain and load settings also. Spun a Coltrane record this afternoon to try it out and I could already hear more depth. And this wasn’t any special pressing. I can only imagine that it will sound even better with proper burn-in.

Does anybody have, or know anything about, Craft Records reissues? Are they quality. I’m looking at preordering their Chet Baker Riverside box set. Apparently cut from analog masters by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI, so it should be good, but I have no first hand knowledge of their products.

I have an old OJC reissue of ‘Chet’ which is solid, but I’d love a proper audiophile copy of it since it’s one of my favorite jazz albums. Analogue Productions did a reissue of that album back in 2002, but currently the only copy I’ve found is selling for $300. Would love for this box set to be quality.
