Yes Marco but I'm talking about running it to my receiver via a DAC from the Mac. I don't have an issue ripping it.

Ok...I see.
Yes, a DAC can be had for $100 or less, and would work for what you want to do.

Any suggestions on a brand/model of a DAC?

A note to those that may be interested in the entry level ELAC speakers...
These are a great value—hard to beat for $300/pr...........HOWEVER, after running these things a good bit, I have come to the conclusion that they need a good bit of power. If you plan on driving them to their fullest, you will need some muscle.
Don’t think that because a speaker is small that it doesn’t need a good amount of power. In fact, most bookshelf speakers have lower efficiency ratings than a large floorstander (they use more drivers and large cabinets to help sound pressure levels).
I have been using a Peachtree 220w class D amp for a couple months, and now a Nakamichi 200w class A/B amp, and in both cases, I feel that when I turn up the volume, I am using most of the power available from these amps (the Nak amp gets HOT!)
Just a bit of advice—if you buy ELAC speakers, get a powerful amp if you intend on rocking them.

How are those lower priced ELAC floor standing speakers?

Lincoln Durham “And Into Heaven Came The Night”, 2018
This guy has been one of my favorite artists for about 5 years now. This is his latest release. Hell of a live show too, he usually visits NOLA every year or so. Really brings it!

I’d spin that just for the pretty color. And good music? Hell yeah.

Man this pressing sounds great! Like ole boy is sitting in the room with me picking that dobro. And this cartridge is really beginning to open up and blossom some...

As for ELAC, the towers are also a great value. However, at the $600 range, you have some decisions...do the ELAC and get a little more on the low end than a bookshelf, or get a better bookshelf, such as B&W, Focal, or Dynaudio, to name a few. These 3 manufacturers have models that begin in the $6-700 range.
These three bookshelves will all give a smoother mid-bass to high transition and overall more dynamic high end, but they use better and costlier materials in the drivers, internal wiring, and cabinets...the trade off is that the low end will not be as powerful as on the floor standing ELAC—-no replacement for displacement...physics.
BTW...ELAC had their reference floorstanders, around $6k/pr., being driven by $250k of MBL German audio gear at the last L.A. Audio Show. The source was a $30k TASCAM BR-20 reel tape machine modded by United Home Audio. They were playing a Patricia Barber Master Recording, “Cafe Blue”, on 10.5” reel—-the ELACs were stunningly good...as in every person walking out of the room was commenting along the lines of “best speaker under $20k with no competition”...not one person I heard criticized them—and that is rare at an audio show where opinions are like assholes—everyone has one....FWIW.

The new cooker is the real deal. Easy to dump the bugs, and very easy to drain and clean after the boil. Highly recommend—Academy Outdoors makes them.
...and I can drop 90-100 pounds of crawfish in a single boil!

What an awesome live performance- Mike McCready’s guitar work is absolutely incredible. And of course Layne’s vocals... Great pressing also.

Love the new table btw. Can’t remember if I said or not. I’ve always thought those concept tables looked sharp as hell.

I love that. Stooges and Hank Mobley in the same picture. Looks like my house.
