Anyone think this weather could affect the Stones show in NOLA Sunday?

That would be crazy if this band were to cancel twice in three months...hopefully the storm will be gone by Sunday though.

God is definitely trying to tell Mick Jagger to slow it down and not start me up.

Depends on where exactly the storm hits. If it hits New Orleans and is a Cat 1, then I'd say there is a strong possibility the concert is cancelled.

We have an eye on this. Got a hotel room and reservations at Toups along with the tickets. Also had plans to take Monday off from work. I hope nothing will get affected, but I'm worried with the river being so high and so much rain coming. We're heading to New Orleans, unless they cancel the show. I'm not worried about the rain and we can avoid the flooded areas.

It would make this grown man cry.

The Dome and Smoothie King Center avoided water in the buildings today which is good. They got 7inches of rain in 1.5 hours. The lower level of the Dome parking garage got some water, but that happens with most down pours.

I don't think they'd cancel because the Superdome would flood. I think it's more of if everything else in the city floods, police and other essential personnel would need to tend to the city and not to 30,000 +/- people attending a concert.

I was just about to post this, driving in from birmingham Sunday morning

They should have already rescheduled it by now, it's like no one has learned their lesson from 2005..

Sunshine in Nola today from the dry air that's moving into SE Louisiana. Dry air hinders a storm to develop, so hopefully that's preventing limiting some of the impacts upon landfall. I think we rock the Dome Sunday night.

Not the same storm as 2005. This one may be responsible for more sunburns than property damage.

The fact that they started building the stage already is a good sign. The docking bay is elevated, so they shouldn't have problems setting up. Also, a good sign that the band is already here too.

They were born in a crossfire hurricane... let 'em play.

It says in that article.
My bad, I didn't read the article but after I posted I did see people posting pictures of them getting off the plane at MSY. Trying to decide if going to New Orleans tonight would be foolish.

This whole deal is just strange. It's weird that the dates are so spread out, so they have had the chance to build the stage out already. Otherwise, i think they would have likely made a decision by now. This storm is going to do whatever it is going to do, but we have no idea how any of that is going to go really....
