I record with my band in our inhome studio we've slowly built over the years. We started with a single yeti mic hooked up to an Apple laptop and we've evolved to a pretty sophisticated studio set up. Our lead guitarist has a third floor set up that is just our studio now.

There is not a thing in my life I enjoy more than jamming with my band and listening to our past jams.

We have some stuff that I think is legitimately awesome and some that is terrible garbage nonsense, but it's all fun to listen to.

Happy Gobble Gobble.

I have a little setup at home that allows me to do them up to two tracks at a time. Swear I could build a city with that thing.

I've probably recorded over 20 that range from vocals/guitar to complete drums/bass/guitar/synth/vocals.
Usually use a midi-drum software to start, but you could do a small multi-track mixer if you wanted to mic the full set. For my purposes it works great though.

M-Audio Firewire Solo is what it's called, but they probably have many better newer models out now. PreSonus also has great stuff for very reasonable prices. And they're local!

I've done a bit over the years. When a buddy of mine was running the show, he had a standalone TASCAM multi track recorder then, then he'd import it, I believe into Garage Band for leveling.

We've gone our separate ways. Now I use a PreSonus firebox, and I have a few condenser mics, including a Blue Baby Bottle which I picked up cheap in a pawn shop. I run it into GarageBand, but I am about to try our PreSonus's software. I bought a license when it was on sale for like $5 but never installed it.

I'd love to hear some of it, Breesus

I record with a band. A friend of ours has a studio in his house where we recorded. Our debut EP is on spotify, itunes, ect.

everyday. Either recording guitars, bass, drums, samples/synth/piano, vocals etc.

Then mixing and all the joys with that. I'm a control freak, built a home studio in a bedroom.

Made several albums and was on a major but very little commercial success. Played all the major clubs all over the states and wouldn't trade the experience for the world, but I'd never want to do it again.

I record on a focus right scarlet 2i2. I usually use reaper for mixing but pro tools comes with the focus right.

LINK

I home recorded these tracks a few years ago. It's a solo project with an R&B, funky, fusion-y tilt. It took about 6 months to finish, as I played most of the instruments

You know, it's hard to step down to the get down when you're knee deep in the shag

I used to record solo and band stuff with a basic cassette recorder in middle school and high school. I have boxes and boxes of tapes that I have no idea what to do with .

Later I got GarageBand and a couple of mics through a presonus interface. Mainly just recorded my own ideas and jams. I was never really happy with my setup. I think the preamp was too weak for the mics I was using.

I haven't recorded anything in a long time, but now I've got an Apogee One in the mail on the way, and I plan to get back into it.

Toured with a few bands, produced, recorded several records and now own my own recording studio.

Currently using Pro tools 12 and Presonus Studio one 3 as my preferred DAWS (depends on the projects we get in)
