Right here. Charlie was a great friend of mine. I took it pretty hard when he passed away last year.
I have had the Bear Family Box Set for a while and love it.
This is a song Charlie did a few years before he died called "Ira". I have watched him sing it a few times and he never could sing it without tearing up. LINK
His last performance two weeks before he died. He was so weak from the cancer and chemo but he still wanted to do the show. LINK

It's great to see there's Lovin Brothers fans out there, even on TD. I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised, didn't know if anyone here would even know who they were.
Their music was one of a kind, even though Dailey and Vincent do a good job with their songs. Glad to see them come along.

The Red Dragon Listening Room named their stage in honor of Charlie Louvin when he played there in 2010.
I can't give Charlie credit for always being a great judge of music, based on this recollection by Billy Joe Shaver, from Texas Monthly:
But before it was over, I think Charlie and Billy Joe worked things out.

quote:
BILLY JOE SHAVER Chet Atkins didn’t like me for shite—I guess because I was a kind of derelict-looking guy in a cowboy hat. ?I played some songs for [longtime Nashville star] Charlie Louvin one night, and he said, “Have you been driving a truck or something?” I said, “Yeah, I do just about everything. I’ve been cowboying, driving a truck.” He said, “I’d go back to that. These are about the worst songs I’ve ever heard.” My writing was different. I wrote like I talked, a little off the wall every once in a while. ?He didn’t get it.
But before it was over, I think Charlie and Billy Joe worked things out.
