I always really loved what he did on the Grizzly Man soundtrack and obviously Vincent Black Lightning.

I love Richard Thompson. I've seen him play live 4 times starting in 1988 but its been about15 years since I last saw him. I haven't cared for much of what he's put out for the last 15 years either. I'll give the new one a listen.

The above was the first time I saw RT (in Ann Arbor MI). I've seen him several times since then-solo and with a band.
I picked up Daring Adventures in 1986 and then I was hooked.
I got into the Richard Thompson game a little late considering he's been playing since he was 18 and played with Fairport Convention starting in 1967.
If you really want to dig into his recordings start with these:
Fairport Convention: What We did on our Holidays and Liege and Leaf
With Linda Thompson: Shoot Out the Lights.
Early Solo: Daring Adventures, Rumor and Sigh.
Some of his later stuff: Mock Tudor, Dream Attic, Electric.
He's a wonderful talent-one of my all time favorites...
