He's a founding member of Traffic and I've enjoyed his solo career. He is still touring and performing.

I have three vinyls of his from the 70s and a CD of Certified Live which is fantastic.

A classic. Cheesy, but a classic nonetheless.

Cheesy or not, that's a great song.

I was walking through a record store years ago and Certified Live was playing. While I knew "We Just Disagree" at this point I was unfamiliar with most of his stuff. I hung around for quite a while just to hear more of this live album. Bought it that day and never stopped listening.

On a side note, Dave was famously involved in Hendrix's legendary cover of Dylan's All Along the Watchtower.

Initially slated to help out with playing (Jimi and Noel Redding weren't on speaking terms and Redding became disaffected with the song and walked out of the recording session), Dave recorded some bass and 12-string acoustic bits for the track (although probably lost over time, with the many, many overdubs and re-recordings that Hendrix did in the aftermath, it is likely that nothing of Dave's instrumentation remains on the final track).

Dave is credited on Electric Ladyland for backing vocals on both Crosstown Traffic and AATW, and 12-string guitar (presumably the latter for his studio work for AATW).

He tends to play in town every summer, obviously not this summer.

My wife lives him, first concert she ever went to

I love me some cheese. Here's another example that I kind of group with We Just Disagree, from Jay Ferguson, one of the founding members of Spirit:

Thunder Island

Dig that bass line. Here's something interesting: I decided to look up who it was playing bass on that song. It's a guy named Harold Cowart, born in Baton Rouge. (He passed away in 2010 at the age of 66.)

I don't consider that song to be cheesy. What specifically, makes it seem cheesy to you? I have always considered that to be a hell of a great song, in every way.

The lyrics, the orchestration, and the general schmaltziness.

I hate to hear you think that way. I just ordered a new digital schmaltz guitar pedal.

Hook it to an auto harp and do a cover of Just When I Needed You Most. Great song, still cheesy.
