Local guy who is now in Nashville. Released a few EP's. Seems to sound pretty decent on albums but if you YouTube him doing acoustic stuff, it leaves a lot to be desired.

He’s not really much of a songwriter or a vocalist. Nothing interesting about him at all.

But at least he has family money

CJ’s a good baw, but most of his recorded stuff is kinda generic and meh. However, I caught one of his live shows and it was pretty damn impressive. He honestly may be better off as a kickass Southern Rock cover band. They did some badass covers of Enter Sandman, Whippin Post, and When the Levee Breaks.

I think it's more that he's trying to be something he's not, country, when he's really a rock guy. Since his songwriting isn't genuine, his original songs don't sound that special. I take it more not that he needs to be a cover band, but that he needs to play what he really is meant to play and not try to pretend to be Chris Stapleton when that's not him.

This is the unfortunate truth.

He plays Whiskey Jam at least once a month here in Nashville, so someone likes him.

The best thing about seeing the guys who wrote a song for a Nashville hit play it the complete opposite on what you hear on the radio
