I saw the shakes at pegasus records last fall during handy week in Florence, Alabama. They are from Athens, bout 30 minutes down the road.
Band is fricking legit. I've mentioned them several time on the OT, etc.
I saw them in Huntsville a few weeks ago. Tickets could be bought for 12-15 dollars. I know a guy that sold his for $300.

I predicted this band would blow up 6 or more months ago. Great to know that so far they are proving me right and they deserve every bit of it. They are an amazingly talented band all the way around.

Well in all honesty, they have a ton of people behind the scenes pushing them into the spotlight.
Hell, they were playing tv shows before they had a full length album. Their manager/publicist/booking agent are doing a great job. I expect to hear their music in commercials very soon.

It's one of my favorite's so far.
Can't wait to get a copy of The Glory Fires album, plus The Pollies & Doc Dailey have new albums coming out this year as well, and Burn. Flicker. Die comes out this summer if I'm not mistaken.
Gonna be another good year for bands/albums recorded in Alabama.

I saw AA back in January here in Cola, and I mentioned to BJ that I first saw them at the Strutting Duck on Wire Road in Auburn and he stopped and said "frick, we haven't played there in almost 4 years. Thanks for still liking us this long"
