Anyone else go? Ticket said 7:30 and they didn't come on til after 9. I've gone to concerts at Beau Rivage and Hard Rock in Biloxi and even with an opening act, they never started later than 30 after the time on the ticket. Good concert but that pissed me off.

Opening act was an hour. Never had an opening act play more than 5 songs before this. After the opening act, they still didn't show for 30 minutes. It was almost like an intermission.

Is this a joke?

You must not go to many concerts. That is how all 800 concerts I've ever gone to have been..

The time on the ticket is for the opening acts, do you think they play for 10 minutes?

The opening act was Cheap Trick - a band that definitely deserves a full set.

So the verdict is good show, and you are clueless about concert logistics?

Sorry you were disappointed at one of the greatest opening acts in rock concert history. You now know how real concerts work.

I remember when I saw the Eagles at the "Hell Freezes Over" tour--supposedly their never-to-be tour after the band broke up. (of course, followed by more later... ) Opening for them was a little known singer called Melissa Etheridge. Damn, I'm so sorry they gave her almost an hour...

Wake up dude.

I've seen Everclear, The Fray, 311, Barenaked Ladies, Third Eye Blind, Whitestripes, Papa Roach, etc. and never had this long of a wait. Ever.

Wait...let me get this straight. Ticket says 7:30...WITH an opening band. Headliner comes on at 9:00. And you think that's ABNORMAL?

Hey, glad you went to the concert--I wasn't there--but wake up and smell the ganja!

Cheap Trick definitely got the allotted time they deserved. The tickets said 7:30 and the lights were down at 7:31. CT played a full hour then, like any other concert ever, there was a set time for the stage to be flipped and Aerosmith started at 9 on the money and played right at 2 hours.

If anything I can't believe how on time the entire production was. Great show btw

On July 6, 1975, I attended a little concert at the Cotton Bowl that started in the early-mid afternoon. It began with Montrose, and they rocked the place really hard. Then the great Mel Galley and Trapeze took the stage and blew the place up. Next, The Eagles played for close to two hours, and then finally The Rolling Stones hit the stage at around 7:00 and played 22 songs ending about 9:00 pm. Glad I didn't get impatient and walked out after Montrose rocked the house for over an hour.

I still don't understand

The opening act was Cheap Trick, one of the most famous bands ever, and have actually been a headlining act their whole careers, with many hit singles and Platinum albums, and you are bitching that they delayed Aerosmith a while?

McCartney was about an hour late going on in Houston last month. Of course, once he started, nobody cared.

i've seen about 36 311 shows since 1994. their opener plays for 45 minutes to an hour every show. 311 comes on 30 minutes after that. so i'm calling bullshite on your concert experiences.

I've seen literally hundreds of shows including many of your named artists multiple times (worked in venues, promotion etc....) and this one sounds noteworthy for how quickly and smoothly it ran. Sorry, you are the one off base here

30 minutes between the opener and the headliner for a major rock show isn't abnormal at all..

So I don't understand what jabarkus wanted..?

For Aerosmith to go on stage 5 minutes after them?
