Incidentally, Taylor published a quarterly magazine, Wood & Steel, it's a great read. Of course it's a sales piece, and a damn good one, but along with that you learn a lot about ... well, guitars in general.

^^^ listen to the man

The mag has great articles on basically everything guitar related, lots of cool stuff. I'm not sure how much it cost. I get it free because I bought a Taylor.

pretty good example here

bump.

Went to Guitar Center again. The GC on Westheimer has a WALL of Gibson Acoustics. I found another one. A mere $1400 for a J-15 I believe. I love the sound of it and LOVE the look of the maple necks. Is a maple neck a no-no for acoustic players? I know they are sought after in Electrics (Strats). Thing just looks and sounds awesome.

And for the Taylor lovers... I finally am sold on one. Taylor 324 Grand Auditorium. That thing is sweet and IMO the two I picked up are much better than Martin counterpart OO-15M . Best Mahogany guitar Ive ever picked up.

Bought one of these several years ago and love it.

It is the Alvarez Yairi MMY1 - Monte Montgomery signature edition guitar. Sound and tone are great. Too bad I can't play near as well as Monte.
