Anyone been to anything there? I'm going to one of the Fleet Foxes shows in August and wondering about quality of live show atmosphere. Seen many on TV but never been.

It's excellent. Small enough, great sound, easy access to the venue, plenty of bars in the venue

I've never sat in the seats, only had floor tickets. Crowds were great every time.

Didn't do a live taping but was one of the best show experiences I've had with regards to all things venue related

I've been to a live taping. Your show is not a live taping, which are difficult to get tickets to. Most of the spaces are filled up with people from sponsors. They let some general public have tickets through a lottery, and they are free. They usually open the lottery a week or so before the show.

"ACL Live" is just what they call all the other shows at the Moody Theater that aren't live tapings; however, they aren't filmed and for the TV show. It's "live", because you are seeing a live music show, in person. I found it misleading too, because when they started doing these "ACL Live" shows at the new Moody theater, I bought tickets to one and also thought it was a taping.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to one live taping several years back. It was pretty cool and we were close to the stage.

You'll enjoy the show either way. There's not a bad seat in the house at the Moody. It's a great venue and the sound is top notch.

Been to quite a few tapings at tMoody. They will throw you out if you use your phone to take pics. I usually just go wait outside about an hour before and they let ppl in free to make sure the house is packed for the taping. Tickets are usually pretty pricey.
