A sad day for Atlanta radio

Project 9-6-1 and 100.5 are both gone. They have been shutdown. The Project has been replaced with pop music. As if Atlanta needed more pop music.

Commercial FM radio has been really bad in Atlanta for a long time.
88.5, 91.1, AM1690 are all good channels for an alternative for music, but I mostly listen to my ipod or NPR. I can't take the crap they play on Clear Channel stations.

I knew Project was gone (RIP 96 Rock) but since when is Rock 100.5 going away? I was listening to TRG this morning and they didn't say anything about it, and AJC's Radio & TV page says that with Project going top 40 that it may help 100.5.
