106.1 has switched to 92.3. Great news for those that have missed alternative music.

So...can I catch 92.3 in Baton Rouge to listen to rock music or does it only broadcast around NOLA?

I hear it loud and clear in Gonzales. 106.1 switched places on the dial with Nash 92.3. Before the switch, I would lose the 106.1 signal around Sorrento. I remember listing to WRKN (92.3) in St Francisville and Tylertown about four or five years ago.

I can typically hear NASH 92.3 in BR, so hopefully I'll be able to hear it carrying rock music. This is absolutely stupendous news for my sanity. The lack of even mediocre music options in BR during my commute times was maddening (WHYR has talk music on both ways).

It was really nice hearing Weezer and Pearl Jam on my drive home. I actually got home in a good mood.

They don't play half the commercials as 106.3 in Lafayette. But 106.3 does lean a little more Alt./Indie as to where the Underground leans alt/rock

Are we talking about NOLA radio? So The Underground is now on 92.3? I really miss the good old days of NOLA alternative radio with The Zephyr. Zephyrfest in Marconi Meadows used to be a staple of my college summers.

Yep, but now it's Alt 92.3

My dad and I were just talking about zeph fest the other day. End fest was more my time though because I'm younger.

I was able to pick it up all the way to Crowley yesterday.
I'm going to Picayune today I'll see if it is clear out there.

That's one strong arse radio station, but I'm already worried about the same 60 songs in heavy rotation.

A lot of hipster indie/techno/folk/pop stuff on that station.
