Com Truise-Brokendate
What are your thoughts, if you have heard some of it. I personally think it has some good vibes to it and is great for studying or pool days.

Is your name in reference to the Neon Indian song by chance?

80's inspired Electronica

How about the real thing:

Kraftwerk--Techno Pop

Kraftwerk--Boing Boom Tschak (Musique Non Stop)

------------------

Although, I must say, after listening to your link, I was looking for my parachute pants, skinny tie, and velcro strap high top Reeboks. I also had a strange urge to eat a McD.L.T., drink a "new" Coke, and watch an episode of Miami Vice...

Good stuff.

How in the world did I not see this thread a week ago? I love this stuff. I think a lot bands today could be characterized as 80s inspired electronica. Basically, the stuff that I like to refer to as "electropop" sounds a lot like 80s music.

Some of these below will be a stretch, and I realize that. Good to shoot for overbroad on the first pass.

La Roux
Passion Pit
Foster the People
Santigold
Bloc party
Cut Copy
Robyn
Little Dragon
Phoenix
Postal Service
Neon Indian
Ghostland Observatory
MGMT
Empire of the Sun
M83
Hot Chip
Lykke Li
Lotus
Ratatat
The Killers?

How many of the above can we fairly characterize as 80s inspired electronica? What are the obvious examples I failed to list?
