Red Rocks turns 75 next week and Denver Post put together a list of 75 fun facts about the venue. My first show this season will be tomorrow night to take a date to see the Lumineers, with more shows already paid for coming up this season. Enjoy the interesting venue tidbits....

One that I like, which was 3 years before I moved here;

Guitarist Warren Haynes once played the venue eight times in one year: In 2004, he performed there with the Grateful Dead for five shows, the Allman Brothers twice and once with Gov’t Mule.

Awesome! Thanks for posting.

I think I saw 2 of those Warren Haynes performances that year.

After Hurricane Katrina struck, the Dave Matthews Band added a fourth night to its three-night, tour-ending run at Red Rocks as a benefit, raising $1.5 million for disaster relief.

One of my favorite memories from Red Rocks. Neville Brothers and John Butler Trio opened.

Widespread Panic holds the title for most shows at Red Rocks. The band will play its 49th, 50th and 51st shows there this year.

This is awesome. Lucky enough to have seen a show there back in 12. I will definitely go back when I have the chance.

Also pretty neat Wide Spread has had the most shows there. I'm not a big fan of their music, but have been to plenty of their shows and it's always fun.

I love the RR. Pre-marriage/kids I was going annually to see shows there. Now it's once every 3-4 yrs I did just go see My Morning Jacket, so I guess I have a while until my next show

It's the greatest place on earth
