I don't see a cause of death listed.

RIP

quote:

Helen Reddy, the 1970s pop star and cultural icon behind the hit song "I Am Woman," has died at 78.

Reddy died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Los Angeles. Despite her signature song she seemed pretty level headed and not a rabid feminist.

Saw her perform in a hotel bar in London, New Years eve 1998 I think. She had given a concert at the hotel that night, and afterwards came in to the piano bar san sang some songs. It was neat to see. She was pretty fat even back then, so I imagine she wasn't in good health.

From the article:
quote:

Reddy was diagnosed with dementia in August 2015.
5 years with declining mental faculties would be hellish. RIP.
