It is pretty frickin awesome. Tough to choose a favorite Tool song. Parabola probably gets played most by me, followed by Right in Two and Jambi.

Some days it is.

I like Eulogy, Aenima, 46 & 2, and Lateralus for the "top" Tool song, depending on my mood.

Lately, I've been listening to Lateralus as an entire album and have been digging Ticks and Leeches.

From Undertow, it is a tighter wound album and arguably the best from start to finish, but only Prison Sex and Sober stand out as "singles" - and, out of context, I don't think any of them stand up to Eulogy, Aenima, 46 & 2, or Lateralus. And I think Lateralus remains the best "heavy" song of the 21st Century.

Right in Two

This would be my candidate from 10,000 Days, over the first 2 tracks. I just never got into it as an album, compared to the 3 full length LPs, which I listen to from start to finish all the time.

I'll say this, it's probably the song that made me a Tool fan.

I was familiar with "Sober", and I vividly remember watching footage of the "Prison Sex" music video on MTV2 (it might have been during a clip from Beavis and Butthead).

However, for some reason or another, I decided to download some new music around the time I was about to enroll at LSU (don't worry, few people support music artists through the purchase of concert tickets, tour shirts, and albums more than me).

Anyway, I came across a file with some Tool tracks and I decided to download a song called "46 & 2". Obviously, Aenima as a whole has a much more atmospheric quality to it when compared with the tracks from Undertow. I became instantly hooked by the eccentric guitar tone, it took me a while to realize that what I mistook for Adam Jones' playing in the opening moments of the song is actually a phenomenal bass riff by Justin Chancellor.

Shortly after that, my good friend purchased a bunch of Tool tracks and from there I became forever immersed within the genius and splendid art of this terrific band.

I'm not sure I could ever come up with a number one Tool song, or even a top-10 list for that matter. It's impossible for me to dismiss a single track or to elevate any other to a loftier status.

I really haven't heard a tool song that I couldn't somewhat appreciate. There's no other band that really puts music together the way they do.

Hope they come out with that mythical new album soon.

If you don't count a lot of the joke tracks on Aenima as "songs," I can agree with this.
