Love it. Unlimited DVR. All the channels I want. Almost never buffers and picture is great.

It's better than sling and hulu live by a lot in my experience with the 3.

2 things that irk me:
1 the guide is frustrating and you can't see what's coming up in the next few hours by scrolling over into different times.
2 they added a package that included MTV, among other things, that I didn't want and didn't ask for and instead of making it a bundle (like their sports package) they just tacked on $15 to everyones monthly bill. I was pisses and looked to switch back to cable but it was still more affordable to stay with them.

ETA: if you get the new chromecast with android TV there is a "live" tab that let's your scroll through different times which is nice but once you're in the app you're stuck with their guide.

That’s an excellent point. My current plan is 1280 gb/month, which I think would be sufficient anyway, but I’m looking to change to an unlimited plan (still cheaper).

I've had it for 2-3 years now and don't regret cutting the cord AT ALL. The one thing you do have to consider though is making sure your internet connection is robust enough to handle it (plus other devices in your home -- phone, computer, etc) since you will be essentially streaming to your TV. The lower cost of YouTube TV itself was defrayed to some degree by an increase in my internet charge due to a necessary upgrade.

Pros:

It has all the channels I need. Particularly sports channels, which are many.

I get my local channels

NO MORE DEALING WITH SUDDEN UNEXPECTED INCREASES IN MY MONTHLY CABLE BILL

NO MORE FIGHTING WITH THE CABLE COMPANY TO GET MY BILL BACK TO NORMAL BY WAY OF SOME STUPID "PROMOTION"

Virtually unlimited DVR (though it is only saved for like 9 months or so)

I stream through a Firestick...which means no more cable outlets in the wall. I have three TVs (none "smart") with three firesticks. No problems

I can access my "TV" anywhere

Minimal buffering unless my internet goes out...which is not YT's fault.

Cons:

They keep inching up the monthly price

The guide isn't great. There are no channel numbers, which means you have to toggle through many channels to go back and forth...which can be a pain.

When the internet is out...the TV is out (though that is rare)

You can customize the guide. Highly recommend.

Huh I just tried it and I can. I could have sworn I couldn't before.

So I only have one issue with them and it was the price hike with MTV

I actually like the guide for the most part. You can reorder the channels in whatever way you like. So I group them. A section for local channels is first. Then all my sports channels. Then all my movie channels. Then channels I actually watch like fx, mtv, tlc, etc. Then at the bottom the channels I don’t watch.

We have had it for nearly a year and we love it

Absolutely no complaints and a million times better (and a little cheaper) than Hulu live

I always say, even if one of the streamers costs the same amount as Satellite/cable it’s still well worth it since you don’t have to deal with any contracts or price shenanigans and the customer service is a bajillion times better
