I haven't seen a lot of them either, but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is pretty damn good.

I remember crying about The Lion King because my dad had just passed away a few months before I watched it, and I felt some empathy. IDK if it would've been nearly as sad if that had happened.

This movie will rip your fricking heart out, devour it, and ask for seconds. Amazing film but I'm scared to watch it again.

Brutal movie. In fact, so brutal I don't even describe it as sad. Brilliant film but won't watch it again. Funny thing is,the only other thing I've seen by the director was pretty lighthearted.

The beginning and the end of Saving Private Ryan. Where the "old Ryan" character chokes up and collapses. "Tell me I am a good man. Tell me I have led a good life.".

GETS ME EVERY TIME.

Immortal Beloved

the whole realization that Beethoven and Johanna Van Reiss loved each other but were seperated because of a misunderstanding kills me. I cry like a girl every time I watch it. One of my favorite movies.

I don't find this very sad. Yes, it has sad parts, but then it will have something uplifting next. I think the whole movie is about life's ups and downs, and getting through the down parts so you can find out what comes next. So in a way, I always thought that Forrest Gump was kind of inspirational.

Schindler's List. I can't even watch that movie again.

I saw the seinfeld episode with the close talker, so the end part, where he was saying he could do more, i was cracking up laughing.
