You saw Prog Nation too, huh? Where? I caught the Atlanta show. Three played a great opening set too.
Caught them in Clearwater for the last show of the tour. It was amazing!!!
And I agree that 3 was awesome.
Not that they were a disappointment, but I thought Opeth and Between The Buried And Me were a little less than as good as I was hoping for.
3, however, was one of the biggest pleasant surprises of the show, but you can't really top DT!!!

American Pie - Don Mclean
I'm kind of disappointed no one has said this one. One of the greatest songs of all time for so many different reasons.
These also stand out, off the top of my head:
Hotel California - The Eagles
Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Layla - Eric Clapton

That song single-handedly moved them to my favorite band of all time (well, that song and Reflection). I went to see them on the Lateralus tour back in 2001 in Birmingham. I was an Undertow and and Ænima listener pretty much solely. I liked Lateralus, but I was into the heavier stuff that tool did back then (Lateralus is now my favorite since I've grown out of the angry youth stage).
Well anyways, my third eye was definitely open that night and when I heard them play the Salival version of Pushit, my mind exploded so to speak. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Can you imagine the first time hearing that song live being on acid? I finally saw tool for what they were that night, one of the most "spiritual" and psychedelic bands I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever listened to any of their songs the same way since that concert. They all have so much deeper meaning than I had originally thought.
If anything, I had never investigated their lyrics and once my opinion of them had changed, I had to see what they were really about. The lyrics just blew me away and that is when I became a real tool fan. I had always assumed they were an aggressive, angry band and that is just not at all the case. Even in Ænima there are some heavier spiritual and psychological themes in their songs. Undertow and Opiate are pretty angry albums and my opinion of them I guess was kind of stuck.
