Yup. Supporting cast is what made the show.

George was a great guy. Just worn down and but for Missie, no one was putting anything in his tank.

When Mary kept him from taking the college coaching job I really hated her from that point on.

Sheldon probably thought Dad was mean because he would actually stand up to Sheldon or discipline him from time to time. Sheldon being autistic, he would interpret it as being mean.

Same. The laugh track didn't bother me at first on BBT, but after watching Young Sheldon, it bothers the hell out of me on both BBT and Georgia and Mandie. Will Sasso kinda carries the show, imo. Love his character. The mom isn't bad either.

Also, for people who didn't watch BBT religiously, the actor that played George (dad) in Young Sheldon once played an old HS bully of Leonard's.

It REALLY throws me off whenever I watch that episode now

Georgie's & Mandy's spin-off is an interesting one in that it's the first show I can remember where the title characters are insufferable and the supporting cast carry the show. I'd have much sooner seen a The Coopers direction than that mullet-headed dumbass headlining every episode.
