I agree that the mow episodes were better than fringe's for sure. But I remember when I was watching I was always disappointed when the preview was for another such episode. That's the case for me with any show.

I actually went back and checked and it looks like I got through 3/4 of season 3 of Fringe, I really need to go back and finish it.
IMO, the absolute best episode was White Tulip from Season 2. Unbelievably well written episode.

We can all agree xfiles had one of if not the most disturbing episodes of tv ever.

And so many unforgettable episodes. Pusher, Drive, Postmodern Prometheus, Humbug, Clyde Bruckman, Home, Bad Blood.
And I liked never knowing whether you'd get a light hearted comedy or seedy thriller.

I agree and they could blend humor and suspense so well
Watching Anderson and Duchovny's rapport improve with each episode was great. It's rare to have two actors work together this well

This... and I loved me some X-Files. I think there are some individual x-files episodes that are amazing... as well as some short arcs... but they couldn't keep the long game in mind.
Seasons 2 and 3 of Fringe... the way it ramped up = Some of the best storytelling in the history of television IMO.
Now I doubt it would ever happen - but I think there's enough material to make a Fringe full length movie or two (that take place between 2013 and 2015 so Walter is there). Both of the X-files feature-length movies were good (especially the first one).

I take back my previous statement. Season 7 is pretty great. The conspiracy episodes are not AS good, but the season is great.

Carter lost his way.
The entire reason for Fox's belief system was the loss of his sister.
Not tying up that one lose end caused Xfiles to slip many many notches down.
I love me some xfiles don't get me wrong (my son is now a fan). But Fringe is way way way better written.

I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't fully appreciate the greatness of the x files right down to the crummy props
It's the best show of the 90s and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>better than fringe. Its legacy speaks for itself. The reason I like fringe most is how they shamelessly copy concepts from the x files.
