Heck, millenium was better than fringe. Oh yes I did.

I imagine this comes down to age. First run xfiles fans will say xfiles. Younguns will say fringe.

I actually watched the first two seasons of Fringe then lost interest. Later on I got into X Files through Netflix, and it's so awesome. Watched the entire first two seasons, all episodes from the smoking man arch and a bunch or awesome monster of the week episodes.

Monster of the week goes to X-files for the sheer amount. If they both went the same number of seasons it would be much more difficult for me to decide. Plus, I liked Scully and Mulder more than Peter and Olivia.

Main story line without a doubt goes to Fringe because the tie-in from the monster of the week episodes and the main story line was superior in just about every way. I was really disappointed with all the mystery and no finish on X-files.

Both are awesome and two of my favorite shows of all time.

Yeah, I can't fault a guy for having that opinion. He's one of my favorite TV characters ever.

x-files really did have some extremely good "enemies" .. not gonna lie. That was probably the thing that Fringe would never be able to match up to the x-files in.. there was never really an "enemy" per say, at least not until the last season.

CGB Spender
Jeffrey Spender
What's his face who was Mulder's partner
And the syndicate

We're all antagonists. I wouldn't say they were stereotypical bad guys

Gunmen, x and deepthroat were allies

Antagonist yes, fringe is a bit different in it's approach.. so it's just different.

X files was so good yet so frustrating. Some of the best story lines build up but never payoff in a satisfying way. Such as scullys alien baby, mulder's sister, etc.

This is exactly the area where fringe excels so well, more so than any show I can think of.

Tacked on crap. No one was ever interested so I don't know why you would be disappointed

We have a thorough and clear understanding of the aim and scope of the syndicate's alien conspiracy that was satisfactory

The only letdown is we never understood what happened to Mulder's sister. That episode was good but then some crap about spirits taking troubled souls. It was good to the point he found her hospital admission

And as I've said before, the MOWs were clearly the best episodes in the show and they were ALL great.
