Those 7 out of 152 minutes were very interesting.
Well i liked all of the kylo and all of the rey scens, including her training with luke.
OK 11 out of 152 minutes

And despite the cliff hanger being Kylo finishing his training, we got none of that. Luke also says he's going to give Rey 3 lessons and we only got 2. It was left on the cutting room floor because Rian Johnson wanted to remind us that rich people and jockeys are evil for the 15th fricking time.

So you hated TFA cause she overpowered Kylo?
Kylo had just finished killing his father and basically just took a shotgun blast standing. I'm so sick of this stupid argument.

I really don't care to get into a back and forth with you at such a low level of discourse.

No. I can't believe I have to explain this again, but:
A main theme from all of Star Wars is the force takes a great amount of concentration and dedication.
In TFA, at the end, Kylo has been shot almost point blank with a shotgun explosive weapon that is shown repeatedly in the movie to blow people away and across fields and he absorbed the blow basically without faultering and was profusely bleeding from it, he had also just killed his own Dad, which I'm sure fricked with his head, and it was very evident that he did not want to harm Rey. He wanted to train her. But he could've kicked the shite out of her if he wanted to. Go rewatch that fight. Even while bleeding and dealing with the death of his dad he beats the shite out of Finn and then fights Rey and really doesn't look like he's having any trouble until she takes a moment to... concentrate.

I have acknowledged there are problems with the movie - all of these topics have been hammered out for two months. I was just pointing out the aspects of it i liked and why i overall enjoyed the movie.

I was referring to when she overpowered him or defended against him with the force, or when she mind tricked the guard without training. ( i have no problems with any of that and she was already shown to be very good with the staff so one can assume she was adept at other weaponry).

What a shitty cop out. I love discussing star wars.
The movie was 152 minutes how much time do you honestly estimate was dedicated to Rey and Kylo? I'd bet alot of money if the O/U was set at 25.5 minutes that it's under.

So do i, but actually discuss it if you want - "ok 11 / 152 then" is a shitty cop out in a discussion.

I am looking forward to someone timing the movie when Rey and/or Kylo Ren are on screen, vs everything else. That might make it over 50%... but I'm not sure. Half the movie is bullshite.

When he was trying to get into her mind and find the coordinates to luke and then she jedi mind tricked her guard without any training.

I guess its largely just the way i watched the movie and went in without expectations. I enjoyed learning more about the way the movie defined the force - but that sort of thing has always been a large part of what attracts me to the fantasy / sci fi genre.

I took that as Kylo being untrained and egotistical. He went in thinking she was pathetic and weak, underestimated her, and then was surprised when she had force abilities.
Also, in TLJ we find out Snoke was linking their minds the whole time. So he mightve been involved there.

That has nothing to do with Kylo, but Yea that annoyed the shite out of me.

I don't know, he essentially immediately told snoke about how powerful she was. He certainly was egotistical at first, but it looked like he was trying his best when she "threw him" out of her mind.

The third lesson is supposedly some deleted scene about maintaining balance that made Luke look like even more of a prick.

So it just keeps getting better. Why should Rey have any fond feelings whatsoever for Luke?
