If Star Wars can survive Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks, it can survive Luke Skywalker drinking milk.

Taken as a whole, Disney can make billions every year for decades.

What they really need to do is capitalize on the games. Give us a proper sequel to KotOR.

Nah, in fact I would’ve taken out him fighting Harrison ford and maybe even the gun fight scene outside the child slave facility. Blade runner isn’t for everyone. I can see why people hate it but objectively the biggest problem is it has too much action

Simple story, great visuals, love the world and I liked that they didn’t have THE MOST EPIC ACTION PACKED CLIMAX EVER. Just a fight on the concrete shores of the pacific. Loved it

Not to be trendy or cool. Jar jar is the most logical character in the phantom menace. To prove my point go watch the scene through the planet’s core and tell me which characters are acting most appropriately. It’s supposed to be exciting and tense but the Jedi look like they’re driving to the grocery store.

In the whole movie he’s the only one selling the armies and action as dangerous

Jedi are calm and collected - but yes, darth jar jar would have been awesome. It's a shame what they did to him

This is why I say Rose is worse than Jar Jar. Say what you will, but Jar Jar does drive the story forward and actually helps the characters. Rose dooms them all.

There's probably close to an hour that could be cut from the movie.

I get it. It was made for a hipsters. I didn't hate it, but I'll probably never watch it again.

I get that. I don't have a problem with the character's purpose. I have a problem with the execution of the character.

Also, the poster above me is correct.

Really? Please tell me which scenes. The only one you can possibly remove is the Deckard/K fight. Anything else cuts majorly into the plot or themes. Sure some scenes are long, but it's fricking Blade Runner. I rewatched it on Saturday and only got through 2 beers while watching it, which for a near 3 hour movie means I was pretty entranced if I'm not doing one every 40 or so minutes. It's the shortest a long movie has ever felt for me (save for the Godfather I & II and Lawrence of Arabia).

I feel like I'm surrounded by crazy people in regards to those who have seen it. They all liked it.... except for my friend who is a self described progressive. He said it's bullshite to bring SJW bullshite messages to Star Wars when WARS is in the title. He was also the first person to point out to me that this movie does not have a protagonist. The guy also hates Identity Politics, Hillary Clinton, and is a huge Jordan Peterson fan, so I think he's coming around even if he's still buying into the Russian narrative.

An hour? No. 30 minutes, definitely

I still think that largely takes away from the aesthetic of the film though. Some scenes could be shortened... but I really don't know of any scenes in and of themselves you could remove save for the earlier mentioned fight.
