That doesn't mean this new series will be awesome, it may very well be flat out terrible. However, I'm a general fan of the idea. The Wonder Years are in all of us. And should be. Every person has that sweet spot of their lives, that period growing up where life seems strange , magical, and harshly real, all at the same time.

Hope this does the original series justice.
I finally watched the first 3 episodes last night. I thought it was pretty good. It certainly was not over the top in any social justice sense. I mean, the main kid used MLK's assassination as an excuse to get out of petty assignments and chores - and we were supposed to find it funny. Anyone butthurt by this is set on being that way no matter what.
