watched this recently not knowing anything about the film(don't watch much these days). This was one of the better films I've seen in a long time. Great story, good acting, well written. I'd highly recommend.

*Winter's Bone

I saw it the other day and thought it was a good movie. Good acting, and a very emotional storyline.

You probably didnt notice, but when the girl goes to the couple's house(the guy has the motorcross outfit on), there is an "Auburn" sign on the wall in the room that they go into. Go figure.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Missouri.

Been hearing alot of good things about this movie, can't wait to check it out.

As far as the setting I was told it's based in Louisville

One of the best movies of this past year. Jennifer Lawrence is incredible. It takes place in the Missouri Ozarks, although there is a small reference to the dad going south at one point in the movie.

ETA: Jennifer Lawrence, when not playing a hillbilly, as she has done twice, is a hot young thing.

It was in Missouri. That's the Midwest to me.

I thought it was pretty good.
