pretty sure the same episode Lowell told Fay "I don't think someone with antlers has any room to make fun of anyone." or something to that effect.

Arturo the Houseboy, another one of my favorites when Helen pretends to be Roy's girlfriend for his mother.
Helen Hackett - "Joe? Honey? We have to talk. I've done something and I'm not very proud of it."
Joe Hackett - "What is it?"
Helen Hackett - "Oh, god. This is so hard for me to say, Joe. First of all, I'm sorry. I never meant for this to happen."
Joe Hackett - "Please, will you just say it?"
Helen Hackett - "Joe, Roy invited us over for dinner Saturday night, and I said yes."
Joe Hackett - "Oh, my God. I thought it was another man. Oh, damn! Why couldn't it have been another man?! What were you thinking Helen?"
Roy Biggins - "Hey, guys, there is something I could use you for."
Helen Hackett - "Oh, my God, he's going to cut us up and turn us into hors d'oeuvres."
Roy Biggins - "Chapel, I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend."
Helen Hackett - "Well, spread me on a cracker and put me on a tray cause there's no way I'm doing that!"

thsi thread made me think to do a search on my channel guide and sure enough there's some weird random no-name channel (not paramount) that is airing some eps later this month. There's the pilot, then like 15 episodes from season 7 ha. Quite the jump but this thread has me reminiscing big time so those are definitely getting recordred.
so to follow up on this, I did get to record the pilot and a handful of episodes from season 7. That's the time lowell is gone and casey is in. I ended up searching for wings every couple days and sure enough as we enter a new week more spidoes show as available on whatever channel it is, I can't even remember. So now I've recordded almsot all of season 2 and abotu ahlf of season 3 so far, I really hope the trend continues and I can keep recording up through the series. In my viewings I'm about halfway thoruhg season 2 now and it's really bring bakc the memories. Love this show.
Since I've only been able to rewatch the pilot from season 1, do they ever explain why helen has such a pronounced southern accent? I'm sure that it's probably due to her parents or something but I know she grew up on the island so it's weird she'd still have it.
OH, and while I'm thinign abotu it, last night I saw an episode in season 2 where Roy's son comes out as gay. Honestly I'm surprised they even aired it because you DEFINITELY couldn't make an ep like that today. When the son says he's gay everyone treats him like a leper like there's somethign wrong with him, and Roy is so furious he challenges him to a basketball game and if roy wins his son isn't gay anymore
