I like Franco. Not sure if he's considered "Good" in the skills that we think actors should have. But I like his performances.

Is he considered that?

I saw an interview with him one time (Playboy maybe?) where he was talking about his role as an actor, and he said that he tries to pick roles that are really different from each other. And then every now and then he likes to do a big movie where it's not really about his acting (such as Spiderman, Planet of the Apes, or Oz - which I think was the movie he was talking about). He talked about how he basically sort of mails it in for those roles because that's all they really require: a good enough job. But then he talked about taking other more serious roles where he likes the challenge of acting. It was an interesting point he was making (though not a shocking one).

I will say that I thought he was good on Freaks and Geeks, and 127 hours. Those are really the only things he stands out in for me (in a good way at least).

He was a good actor in Sonny. This movie kind of placed New Orleans in a bad light, though.
