I answered the question of why it’s so over represented in media and I responded to you saying it’s common. No editorializing from me at all.

Gay people don't bother me. But I don't need or want to be inundated with it when I watch TV. And when I am, I am annoyed. It's pretty simple to understand despite your continuing (and intentional) incredulity.
