Fat and jolly, I think Chris Farley made fun of him in a skit once. I wanna say it might be a French name. I also wanna think he used to go on the Johnny Carson show sometimes.

Could be Dom DeLuise. I remember Farley playing him on SNL once, albeit for just a few seconds...him and someone playing Burt Reynolds (I think) were laughing hysterically and pissing their pants in what was supposed to be a fake Tonight Show "outtakes" reel...

Was it this sketch? It's the best I could find, b/c NBC keeps pulling the clips...

There was a an old, short, fat, Jewish comedian who performed in 60s and 70s.

All I remember is him doing a piece of his routin, where he talked about going skiing, at the end of a Jerry Lewis movie on VHS.

That's rings a bell, pretty sure it's him. Thanks, been trying to remember his name for a few weeks. Didn't feel like taking the effort to dog through a few Google searches.
