The single shot for a whole movie has been done plenty of times. And it was sort of a joke because it was obvious where the shots were cut. I'm not sure what else you could be talking about.

I bought a drum set after rewatching whiplash. Granted I played drums growing up, but still, it just hypes me up. I also suck at drums.
