Where does Rainn Wilson go from here?

How does he break out of the Dwight mold?

He was great as the convenient store clerk in Juno. And in Super. He can probably pull off some non-Dwight roles fairly easy.

nowhere too important unfortunately. Dwight was obviously his big career role.

He can't.

He was an odball before The Office in Six Feet Under.

He is a bit creepy looking so I doubt he ever gets any rolls other than the type he has been in.

Anyone who can pull off a truly wonderful performance like that can certainly succeed in other roles

He starred in a detective drama pilot at CBS that didn't get picked up recently. I was hoping it would make to air so we could see him do something completely different.

I think he'll have a career as a character actor. He has been good in some films (I loved Super and thought he was good in Hesher) while working on the Office. There is no doubt that the Dwight role will be a high point for him; I imagine it would be a high point for just about anyone. He was fantastic in the Office.
