i’m a fan but it’s not grounded humor. which is fine and not anything i expect from anything Matt Berry is in.
Interesting. So you would actually prefer something with more 'realism' but still find this enjoyable enough to watch?
I guess the absurdity of it is probably what tickles me the most. (I'm also a British comedy fan, so that would seem to make sense.)
And I can see how Berry's mannerisms, like cartoonishly slapping his knee, or over-pronouncing a word, could very easily be irritating if it wasn't done on some sort of comedy beat that just hits right for me.
I actually think this stuff is fascinating — that is, why some people really enjoy exploring this style and certain comedians like Norm Macdonald, for example, whereas others are totally turned off by it.

no I like absurdist comedy,
Like the Mighty Boosh could never jump the shark.

i feel like he’s actually toned down in this show. the moments he gets to really do his whole heavy accent thing are some of the best. The Jackie Daytona episode.

It was always going to be downhill from Jackie Daytona.

but is it really going downhill? for me I don't see it.
every episode this season has had moment for me laughing my arse off.
my Fav moment in Nandor vs the Werewolf fight and how he wins.
Jackie Daytona is a very close 2nd.
Matt Berry is a damned treasure

the Mighty Boosh
I've never been able to determine if Noel Fielding is a savant, slightly mentally ill, or just constantly stoned out of his mind.
Right when I think I get close, he pivots and impresses me in some other totally unusual way.
It's very possible that he might just be a tortured genius.

It was more of a joke that Jackie Daytona is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

The newest episode, Nandor’s Army was top tier. Friggin hilarious

yeah the army episode was a good one. Colin Robinson killed it in that episode.

“What I meant to say was something with the identical sentiment that didn’t piss you off.” is a line I will be using on my wife from here on out.
