Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip deserved more than a season as well, though it was never quite able to match the greatness of the first handful of episodes. 30 Rock killed it.

I actually didn't get the sense that Sports Night had much more territory to explore. It was a neat sitcom that fulfilled its purpose. Apparently Sorkin felt the same way, because he let it die so he could move on to The West Wing.

I had forgotten about the Black Donnellys. I liked that one as well. Good dramas don't ever seem to make it unless they are cop shows or set in a hospital.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (I'm still pissed about that one!!)

yes! the finale's cliffhanger left soooo much for the next season...but there was none.

I've been sort of watching the replays on syfy but they kinda piss me off b/c of the ending...

ROME, easily.

Oz, Sopranos, and 6 Feet Under were my favorites. Have never seen the Tire, but Rome was as good as any. Never understood. My husband said it was his favorite.

I don't know if this has already been said but Summer Heights High on HBO. It took a few episodes to get used to it but it was a pretty hilarious show IMO once you understood the characters.

I'll add a vote for Playmakers, I still watch episodes on the DVD from time to time. Omar Gooding was crazy on that show
