What would you say are some common elements between The Wire and Treme?
Until I saw others questioning his statement, I was wondering how I missed the two being similar.

quote:Bosch is a good watch, but not as realistic as The Wire. In the later seasons they try to make Harry too big a hero.
Bosch on Amazon Prime
I liked the dirty pharmacist story line, but he's too old to be going undercover and doing Jack Reacher sh*t to cartel guys.
Other good crime/cop shows:
Season 1 and 3 of True Detective-HBO Max
City on a Hill-Showtime
Gangs of London-AMC+
Luther-BBC show on HBO Max
Hannibal-Hulu/Disney
Boardwalk Empire-HBO Max
American Rust-Showtime
Dexter-Showtime
The Night Manager-Prime
There are some good murder investigation cop shows on Ritboox.

Might be a weird take but after rewatching the wire and game of thrones , the first few seasons of Game of Thrones really feel like a fantasy version of the wire

Ignore all suggestions, there’s nothing similar to The Wire.

As a guy who has worked the streets of NOLA for 24 years as a Local and now Government entity people like Omar almost always get knocked off like that. It's almost never a blaze of glory or another hard hitter more like circumstances or a step slow.

I came away from it hoping similar deaths come to the enablers/silent participants, that are the real problem. I'm talking about the Clay Davis's of the world.
Huey P. Long went down in a blaze, but it wasn't some conspiracy to get him out of office. Wasn't even someone trying to rob him of his infamous deduct box. Just a very personal thing caused by what feels like collateral damage.
