I posted just from OP's post and not reading the thread.
Glad to see someone else thought this was terrifying stuff for basic cable back then.

The Exorcist III. The scene with the nurse and the shears messed me up for life.

Didnt think about Final Destination, I wouldnt necessarily say that I am traumatized, but to this day I still absolutely refuse to drive behind one of those large log trucks.
As a child Titanic had me traumatized and I vowed to never get on a ship. Im well past that now, but my first time on a cruise. I spent a good bit of the time at the front of the ship looking for ice bergs... in the Caribbean

Got taken to a screening of "Earth vs The Flying Saucers" when I was 5 years old. Had bad dreams about that movie for a year. I have it on BluRay now. One of the best "B" science fiction movies ever.

The episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark where the creepy clowns killed(?) people by making them throw up this electric blue goo.

I watched this movie when I was fairly young and remember it scaring the shite out of me. I've never re-watched so I don't even know if it's actually scary.

The Beastmaster (1982) with Mark Singer. Awesome adventure epic with several truly disturbing scenes. Later I learned that the writer/director - Don Coscarelli - was the creator of the Phantasm horror series. Makes sense.

As an adult I read Whitley Strieber's Communion and it scared the shite outta' me. Then I read his follow-up, Transformation and realized he was a lunatic.
