re: What movie made you cry the most?

I've never come close to crying during a movie, mostly because I tend to react to things slowly, and it's easier for me to laugh at a sentimental scene than cry. But if they're really affecting, most good movies tend to unspool inside of me for a few days, sorta softening the blow of unleashing sadness all at once.
Caveat: If I'm drunk, that shouldn't count, right? Sort of a cheap way to manipulate emotions, I think. Still, in that case, the play Ruined was fairly heartbreaking.

My dad and I both bawled in the Return of the King. First time I had actually seen him cry

I have never cried during a movie. I don't even know what that would be like.

Ghost. Every time I watch it.

Have to say that two scenes from other movies always get me:
In "The Patriot" when the little girl finally speaks and tells Mel Gibson not to leave; and
The end of "The Greatest Game Ever Played", when Francis Ouimet's Dad is holding up the dollar bill.

This is maybe the closest I;ve come to crying, although still not that close.
But the last seen where Woodrow is reflecting on all the people who died on the cattle run, when the reporter is talking to him. Kind of hits a sentimental note with me.
The final scenes of Bravheart and Forrest Gump too.

I remember getting a little teary at the end of The Dead Poet's Society, when I was like 13. That is about it.

Land Before Time made me sad when the mom died at the beginning.

yeah, and Bambi too.
I think I was scarred the most by Lion King though.

This.
Also, a very weird experience with Mr Holland's Opus. I remember I saw it in theaters, I was 10 years old at the time. I couldn't tell you a single thing about the movie except for this one particular part. The main character is singing a song in sign language because his son is deaf, and at the end the line is "beatiful beatiful [something I forgot]", but in this particular instance he pauses and changes the word to Cole, his son. I can't explain it, but I lost it. As a 10 year old I was sitting there trying to cover my face I was crying so much. Very odd. I guess it just got to me for some reason.

I cried watching Radio, when the coach walked in on Radio reacting to the sudden death of his mother.
At 19, I cried watching the Lion King. Simba trying to get his dad to wake up got me. Didn't get me at 10, but it got me at 19.
