Dany tries to burn the midget as part of an execution. Jon steps in and says no. Dragon chooses Jon.

I would have rather Jon died after killing Danny by the Dragon then this shite. He saves the kingdom, he gets banished for life in a land now ruled by his sister/cousin, the only people who dislike him leave the continent, while all his friends rule the six kingdoms. Oh I forgot he was the rightful king by birth! The whole fricking ending shite on the entire fricking story!

My perfect ending for Jon:

Kill Dany. Commandeer Drogon. Kill Grey Worm and Unsullied and Dothraki (no way Grey Worm wouldn’t have just killed Jon upon finding out he killed Dany. He would have slaughtered him instead of imprisoning him)

Reveal himself to the true heir to the throne. Then make the choice to relinquish the throne to the lords to decide who rules. Thus, he ushers in a new way of ruling things (breaks the wheel) which honors Dany’s vision prior to her becoming corrupted by power.

Then Jon heads north to replace Mance Rayder as leader of the free folk. Only to find fresh body parts in a pattern implicating that the White Walkers are never truly defeated. While the political wheel was broken, the historical cycle continues uninterrupted.

Fin.

Night King and crew dominate Winterfell but lose Viserion
Dany, Jon and a handful of others escape to Yara and fleet
They’re denied safety at KL and are kept outside
Jamie makes his way in and reasons with Cersei
When NK and crew show up they’re allowed inside
Walls fall in the battle and Rhaegal goes down injured by the NK
In his last effort Rhaegal unleashes all he’s got left and hits NK taking out the army surrounding the NK
NK walks through unfazed and he and Jon Snow battle it out with Jon winning and renders the army of the dead obsolete
Cersei tries to capitalize on this moment and fires the Ballistas on own army, Jon, Dany, etc.
Still get Clegane Bowl here. Mountain takes down Hound and Arya steps in to take out Zombie Mountain. She grants the Hound mercy after being mortally wounded and ends his suffering.
To end the madness Jamie kills Cersei and calls off the attack. Jamie fulfills Azor Ahai prophecy
Dany’s love for Jon leads her to cede the throne.
Jamie takes throne with Tyrion as his hand and Brienne becomes Lord Commander of Kingsguard.

Just off the top of my head.

I would have liked to see a suggestion of undead/White Walker activity north of the wall at the end.

I get what you mean, all the Stark kids went their own way, but the Stark family didn't end, in the GoT universe Sansa would likely wed and have kids to continue the Stark line as rulers of the Northern Kingdom.

There is some real good stuff in this thread a hell of a lot better than what I saw tonight.

It's being said that there was an ending cut that had jon and tormund finding fresh white walker symbols.

This is actually great. It accomplishes all the same plot points but in a much more realistic fashion than how it went down.
