What does Redbox do with all the old DVDs?

I would think they would sell them for cheap but I've never seen any way of buying em.

Yeah I just didn't think they would sell enough from their inventory that way. Seems they'd have a lot left over.

I would never pay more than $2 for a used Redbox DVD. About 1 out of every 4 redbox rentals I get are scratched; I imagine at least 50% of the used/for-sell ones are as well.
edit: Although redbox will give you a limited time free-rental or two if you call and let them know you got a scratched DVD; so I'm sure they would give you credits for a scratched DVD if you bought it as well.

I've rented hundreds of red boxes and never had a scratched one. You may need a better DVD player.
