i cant appreciate this one as much as I should. I saw the redux first and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. theatrical was astronomically better

One of the best WWII movies to come out of that era IMO. It was a realistic telling of the emotional toll war inflicted as opposed to the rah rah movies that were coming out.

No one here a fan of Pearl Harbor? I understand how Hollywoodified it is with the love story but I can't tell you what an incredible impact seeing that attack with modern effects had on me as a kid.

Not to mention I just love the sound of those old WW2 planes.

i almost couldnt finish it

ill finish a movie no matter how bad it is, but this one was a struggle. and this is from a huge civil war buff
