The ignorance of this country is certainly on display over the past couple days. Stick to making TV shows bro.

LINK

quote:

“If I were a person of color in Florida, I would pick up a brick and start walking toward that courthouse in Sanford. Those that do not, those that hold the pain and betrayal inside and somehow manage to resist violence — these citizens are testament to a stoic tolerance that is more than the rest of us deserve. I confess, their patience and patriotism is well beyond my own … Tonight, anyone who truly understands what justice is and what it requires of a society is ashamed to call himself an American.“

You would think someone who creates such a good tv show wouldn't be such a moron

I still fail to See how Martin's life is worth so much more than the countless young black men who die violently every week in this country.

This must be the Treme Simon talking. The Wire Simon couldn't possibly be such an idiot.

I don't see how anyone could watch The Wire and think this wouldn't be his opinion on Trayvon. I also like "moron" as a definition for "someone who has different political opinions as myself"

Do you venture over to the poli board often?

Everyone within entertainment with a liberal slant is deemed a moron. Everyone.

this isn't about political beliefs.

This is about ignorance regarding our legal system which apparently a large segment of our country suffers from.

Once again:

David Simon was an investigative journalist who worked DIRECTLY homicide detectives in Baltimore and wrote several books about Baltimore lower class. You may not agree with him but you have to respect the fact that he probably knows more about this than you do.

My opinion his opinion is retarded. I don't think he's a moron, because the Wire was a wonderfully written show.

Huh?

Know more about the TM case?

Doubtful as he mentions stand your ground and that had nothing to do with this case.

What does that have to do with this specific case and the facts?

Go read his blog post and the comments afterward. He answers a number of them and does a good job explaining himself.

Something can be legal and still be an injustice. SEE Crow, Jim or Apartheid.
