Watching Karate Kid III

I haven't seen it in years.
Terry Silver was the biggest badass in world. LaRusso was playing with fire. He should have done what he was told.

I've seen the original 3, the Next Karate Kid, and, yes, even the newest one.
I thought the original 3 got progressively less good, with 1 being head and shoulders above the rest. I do enjoy "Next" as well.
The newest one is downright horrible, but that's to be expected with Will Smith's kid as the KK.

No doubt 1 is the best, but I liked the storyline of II. The thing I always think to myself at the end is if Chosen were to win the last fight, how would Miyagi explain to Daniel's mother that he lost a fight to the death with hundreds of people watching.
III sucked with Daniel getting his arse kicked the whole time, landing one punch on Karate's badass, Mike Barnes, and winning the match.

Absolutely no way the newest one is worse than Karate Kid III. Terry Silver is a freaking millionaire but for some reason he wants to spend all his time trying to embarrass some kid in a county karate tournament.

Always good reviews, but he really gets on the Silver/Kreese over top badass character tangent.

greatest/most unintentionally hilarious moment of that movie was Silver at the teen club laughing after DSan went crazy and jacked that dude. Or when he drinks champagne in his bubble bath.

Watching it as an adult made me realize just how good Pat M. was as Miyagi. He was actually nominated in 1. When you get past the cheesiness of some of the cobra kai's antics/High school scenes(although fricking awesome in their own way) it was a really well done movie.

I don't know who wrote III, but it was lazy, lazy, lazy.
Teen Witch is hardly in the movie and her role is pretty lame. The most "excitement" of the movie was dropping the tree and then picking it up.
Barnes is lame. Johnny was much better.
BUT, Terry Silver should have won an Academy Award. Terry Silver>>>> The Predator.
