Also, JP3 is pretty awesome. Not sure why that one gets hate.

I like JP3 more than Lost World.

I actually re-watched LW last night because of this thread. Leading up to the ridiculous Godzilla scene in San Diego, you have the InGen execs and some cops on the dock waiting for the ship. (Let's not think about the fact that at some point before the ship gets to San Diego, InGen would have to get approval to import a fricking T-rex and the military would be there)

Anyway, they realize the ship isn't slowing down and they just continue standing in place, no alarms sounded.

Then after it crashes, everyone acts like they don't even know a T-rex is on board and they nonchalantly check around to find the crew dead. Then some genius opens the cargo hold

Removing the subplot about the raptors on the boat makes it look like the T-Rex was somehow just sneaking around the ship eating folks

but the mental image of raptors pulling out his entrails while he's still alive is burned into my memory

Raptors are pussy cats. Read some human history from the Middle Ages and get a feeling for the way felons and others were put down. Beheading and or hanging were the kinder deaths. Entrails out, then it got interesting.

Doesn't Malcom also say in the first one that he has three kids? And in the second one that she's his only one?

It was never said that she was Malcolm's only child.

Though she’s in Crichton’s book, the character was changed to Malcolm’s African American adopted daughter in the movie. This tangential broken home story detail is perhaps the movie’s most Spielbergian quality personally and creatively. Spielberg himself has adopted children and a multiracial family.

I just never remembered it being mentioned that she was adopted in the film.

Didn't make any sense to change it for the film tbh

JP3 is pretty awesome

It's your standard action chase movie with dinosaurs. The Spinosaurus acts more like a horror movie villain then an animal and all the characters aside from Grant are retarded
