Disagree. It is one of the HUGE advantages these modern chicks have over the beauties of the past. Airbrush, personal trainers, photoshop, surgery all make a huge difference.
Grace Kelly was straight up facial perfection, just as God made her.
Kate Beckinsale needed gum reduction to look like she does.
A natural looking woman is 10x more sexy to me, imho. Sophia Loren was a napalm-breathing nuclear explosion of pure sex. Kristen Bell and some of these other chicks are beautiful in the context of waitresses at the Chimes.
Its not a level playing field.
Do you also seriously think Mark McGuire was a better hitter than Hank Aaron?

I was just thinking that...or Rita Hayworth, Raquel Welch, Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, Catherine Deneuve, Grace Kelly, Claudia Cardinale (still up in the air, Ursula Andress, Anita Ekberg, Natalie Wood...etc.
...and it can't really be a generational thing...because most people voting for the older movie stars weren't alive either when they were popular. So you have some bigger picture voters and some voting for current crushes evidenced by the cluster of Maxim "it" chicks who are all still in this competition.

yes I was not born when most of them were in their prime, but I have seen a lot of movies from those times. I'm definitely trying to see the big picture in my votes. A few modern women likely have a place among the greats (Charlize, e.g.), but mostly its just cute girls that got lucky and got famous. I mean nobody with 1/10th of a brain or penis really thinks Kristin Bell is sexier than Marilyn Monroe or Sophia Loren.
I think people are voting out of ignorance (not knowing the older movies, or the historical context of the hotness), just basing it on the picture in the thread and the "oh yeah, that chick played E's girlfriend - she made my dick hard when I saw her in FHM"
